Endocannabinoid System

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) regulates  the body functions, closely linked to the nervous system. It consists of cannabinoid molecules that are naturally synthesized in our bodies. Called endocannabinoids, they target protein receptors – called cannabinoid receptors (CB).

Endocannabinoid deficiencies are thought to be at the root of many disorders. These disorders are usually hyperalgesia: Migraines, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, neurotransmitter disorders, and epilepsies.

Cannabinoids:

Traditional cannabis plants have over 80 cannabinoids, THC being the most well-known, followed by CBD. The hemp plant is closely related to the cannabis plant but contains minimal THC levels (under 0.3% according to the FDA). CBD is the main active ingredient in hemp. Other cannabinoids elements are associated with the hemp CBD.

The low THC content makes its use  widespread and is considered legal.

CBD effectively supports human health because the body has already its own endocannabinoid system. It is a regulatory structure with millions of cannabinoid receptors in the brain and nervous system.  Since natural cannabinoids are produced within our own bodies everyday, it reacts actively to plant derived cannabinoids as well. Hemp oil used and processed by the body boosts the function of the endocannabinoid system that regulates itself.
